Infants
Once your child can safely sit in a bike seat, Xtracycle’s Hooptie deck easily supports it. Just place the seat where comfortable, allowing either one kid and cargo, or multiple kids, and you can start riding.
With the Hooptie, the first-of-its-kind full wrap-around kid enclosure, you also have a padded inner rail to protect little hands. When set in its wide setting, the Hooptie accommodates a variety of kid seats from various manufacturers.
Toddlers
As toddlers graduate out of the seats you can add a MagicCarpet cushioned seat pad (or a dual configuration for maximum comfort). Narrow the Hooptie rails to keep little bodies snug and secure, and let the good times roll.
On our RFA you can fit up to two kids, and the Swoop and Stoker support up to 3, for all your daily adventures.
Big Kids & Grown-Ups
As your little kids become bigger kids ready for more independence, swap one of the Hooptie rails for a pair of SnackBars to give them an easy way to hop on or off the bike. They’ll love having a little more freedom, and you’ll feel good knowing they’ve still got a sturdy hand-hold while riding.
This set-up works great for kids 6+, tweens, or even a passenger-parent.
SnackBars
When you hear snackbar you’re probably thinking of a sweet treat you can grab that’ll keep your kid going throughout the day. For us it’s our fun name for a great handgrip your kid or passenger can grab for a ride everyday.
When you’re ready to retire the Hooptie side rails, you can use front and rear SnackBars for a comfortable dual-passenger set-up, or a simple front SnackBar configuration is ideal for single passengers. Open up the rear of your bike and find more ways to ride.
Cargo Hauling
The Hooptie is equally optimized for passenger-cargo and cargo-only loads. There’s plenty of built-in room for people and packages. Use straps and bungee cords to fasten your gear to the side rails. Or fit a tote bin snuggly between the removable inner rails and use it like a trunk.
Every Xtracycle can carry 400+lbs, so when it comes to carrying, you're only limited by your imagination!
